Cheetah Plains Private Game Reserve is located in the famous Sabi Sand Game Reserve, bordering the Kruger National Park and Mala Mala, and you can be assured of fabulous safaris and friendly, professional hospitality.
The Sabi Sand is South Africa’s most famous private reserve and is located on the western border of the Kruger National Park. This is where Africa’s Big Five – leopard, lion, elephant, rhino and buffalo – roam freely.
Cheetah Plains is roughly 850ha in size but our extensive traversing rights with neighbouring reserves, which include Buffelshoek, Torchwood and Vuyatela, give visitors access to almost 8 500 ha of pristine African bushveld and breathtaking wildlife.
When you’re not out on one of your twice-daily safaris spotting big cats, bush babies, hyenas, rhinos, hippos, African wild dogs (if you’re lucky), eagles, vultures and owls, you will be kicking back at our beautiful and comfortable lodge. Our eight thatched chalets are set in indigenous gardens and offer wonderful privacy. At night you can literally hear the call of the wild as lions and hyenas set out on the prowl.
Facilities include a swimming pool, massage room, a well-stocked curio shop, internet access, a bar and more. We employ 30 staff members – including highly skilled guides – to ensure that your every need is taken care of. All you need to do is arrive; we take care of the rest.
